Humid Summer Weather, Heat Rash and Prayers for a Short Summer

I hate hot summer weather! Well, what I REALLY hate is a summer filled with humidity.

Our area has had an excessive amount of humidity this summer. Humidity and I are mortal enemies. Trouble is, he always wins the battles! I can be found with a bag of ice on various areas of my body where he has brutally caused heat rash, itching heat rash!

My daughter-in-law talked to a pharmacist. The pharmacist suggested Dramamine.I wasn't sea sick so I wondered about that but, in my condition, I was willing to try anything. It actually helps. However, I may be talking to you one minute and snoozing the next.

She also suggested diaper rash ointment; you know, the stuff that looks like thick white paint. I was desperate so I slathered that in all the rash areas. When I go out, I try to stay a distance from people because it smells like a baby's bottom (a baby who has diaper rash, that is)!

I'm also using ice packs. I'm trying to figure out how I can tape them to my underarms without looking like the Incredible Hulk. Still working on that one.

I guess I will survive. OK, I know I will survive. But, that's not going to stop me from praying for a short summer!!!

Like is full of "little irritations" (pun intended) that have to be dealt with daily. Not the big things.  Not the devastating things. Just everyday life that veers off track a bit and causes frustration.

I think how we handle the little things in our life is just as important as how we handle the big things. God expects us to allow the Holy Spirit to control how we react to the little irritations just like He does the big ones.

What about you? Do you let the Holy Spirit control your thoughts, emotions, and actions when you are daily dealing with little irritations? It's important to act godly in the little things as well as the big things.

Hoping I handle the daily "irritations" in a godly manner, Gloria

Interesting about the Dramamine! I'll have to remember that. Yes, I have to let the H.S. control my reactions to irritations, although sometimes it's not the first thing that comes to my mind. Gotta work on that!
