Blood relatives or Substitutes

I'm late getting this blog posted. Just got on the Internet, We are camping in the mountains with our daughter and two grandchildren. The 5th wheel needs to be larger!!!

I'm thankful my daughter is a neatness freak because she insists the kids put their stuff up so we aren't stumbling over things.

We've fished, played card games, taken a walk to McDonalds (hey, you can't get too far from civilization) for hot chocolate and ridden bicycles. Actually, the kids did the bike riding, I value my life more than that!

It has been a wonderful time. I hope my daughter and her kids will tuck this away as a good memory. I know I will.

God is so good to give us family. I know not all people have close family relationships so I do appreciate that we have a closeness. I hope your family has the same kind of relationship. If you do, thank God. If not, pray God will bring that into your life or give you a substitute family to bless your life. Sometimes they can be as precious as your blood relatives.

Thankful for the closeness of my family and pray you have the same, Gloria

How timely! My kids & I are coming to America-- Iowa July 25 - Aug 1 to visit my family. My parents are big campers, too, and my kids can't wait to camp and fish with them!

I'm going through my list of blogs I haven't visited in a while, and I'm so happy to see your blog still up and running.

I'm liking your recent posts, especially the Oregon Trail one.

Christi, thanks for your comments. You know us writers; a little bit of encouragement can give us determination to write for weeks!!!

I post every Monday, IF I can get to the blog, that is! I hope you will return again. Always nice to have "old" (Do you think I should choose another word? :D)friends come again.
