Hummingbirds and Doing What's Right

I am a prisoner in my own
,x back yard! I guess I don't have to be but it seems the right thing to do.

A little humming bird has made a nest on top of one of the blades of the fan on our patio. The fan is positioned right at the door coming out of the kitchen. Now when I go outside I have to ease the door open and speak to the little bird, assuring her I will not harm her. I then slump down low so I don't come close to the fan, talking as I go. Since the neighbor can see  into our yard. I wonder what he is thinking when he sees my antics! No matter. It is the right thing to do. I just hope those babies are born soon. It's beginning to warm up and I really would like to use the fan. Plus, I'm afraid I will soon have a permanent bent in my back is it doesn't happen soon!

Sometimes doing what's right is inconvenient. AND, some people will think it is ridiculous. Still, it should be done. God told us in the Bible to think more of others than ourselves. Would you say that is a pattern of your life? I wonder if God included hummingbirds in that command!!!

Trying to live  out what I profess even though it is not always easy, Gloria

P.s. this is done on my iPad and I 'be never done this before. Praying it works since my computer isn't!

How neat to have your own hummingbird nest! I hope you can take photos of it and the babies soon!
And this is great you have a subscription option now!

Tina, I guess the babies were born while we were on vacation. The is vacated. I really did want to see baby hummingbirds. Maybe they will come back again next year.
