Miracles, Big and Small

Two miracles happened at my house the last twelve hours. 1. I only woke up five or six times during the night. That's compared to my usual ten or twelve. 1. My husband got up before I did. That NEVER happens. It must have been the headache medicine I took before I went to bed.

Of course, that means I was late getting up to post. When I signed in, I noticed a number of you had already checked for a new post today. I do hope you return. I'll try and do better, I promise!

Speaking of miracles, do you believe in them? I do. I believe we have miracles happening around us all the time. But, we're too involved to see them.

Miracles don't have to be big things. It can be realizing what a miracle it is that you are able to take a breath. A miracle can be you  have the ability to see a sunrise or a sunset (OK, I imagine more see the sunset miracle than the sunrise one) or hear the laughter of a child. All these are miracles of God allowing us to live.

There are really big miracles, too. It's a miracle that doctors can operate and take a cancer out of our bodies and make us well again. It's a miracle that planes weighing tons and tons can lift into the air and take us to a destination far away. It's a miracle that the world revolves around in space and we're along for the ride.

The greatest miracle is this. God sent His son, Jesus, to come into a sin infested world and die for your sins and mine. A miracle that God accepts us as His child when we repent of our sins and give our life to Jesus to direct and guide. That, my friend, is the greatest miracle known to mankind. I hope you have embraced that miracle into your life. If you have, thank and praise God. If you haven't today would be a good day to do it!

Thanking God for big AND little miracles, Gloria
