We've arrived home and I am now trying to put up all the things I took with us on our trip, most of which were never used. Of course, I can't tell my husband that. He is always making the statement that I over pack.
My philosophy on loading the motor home has always been to take it "just in case." Well, although it grieves me to have to admit I am wrong, I think I will have to acknowledge hubby was right this time. It will probably take me two weeks to get all this stuff put up. My bedroom looks like a war zone!
I wonder if I do God that way? He tells me things that will make my spiritual life easier and I insist on adding things that are non-essentials. Jesus said to love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength and love your neighbor as yourself. Do you think if we just stick to doing that and not trying to add non-essentials, perhaps our lives won't look like a war zone? Something to think about.
Trying to narrow my relationship to Jesus down to the essentials, Gloria
