What Does The Future Hold?

I'm not in a funny mood so I don't think I'll be able to tickle your funny bone. Sorry!

Life is difficult. We here in America have been so blessed that it's hard to deal with what we face today. People I know are losing their jobs. Others are losing their homes. Some can't pay their bills. Businesses, even churches are struggling to keep their doors open. It seems I hear of a business folding almost every week. Of course, that means people out of work and unable to care for their families. What happened to affluent America? Won't she always be a prosperous nation? I don't know. It doesn't look too promising right now.

There may be even more difficult days ahead. What is going to keep us from sinking into despair?

God.

None of this is a surprise to him. Perhaps he's just trying to get our attention. When things are going well, we tend to not seek him as desperately as we do in times of trouble. So, I guess you could say trouble is good sometimes. Let's hope it brings our nation back to God. Things around us may change for good or bad but he never changes. He loves us and will care for us. And, right now, that is very comforting.

Glad God is with me in all situations, Gloria
