My husband says, "Gloria wakes up to a new world every morning." What he means is I've forgotten most of what happened the day before! That is somewhat true.
Being forgetful has its pros and cons. Mostly I don't let it bother me but some days it is very frustrating. Like when I have stored something away for safe keeping and when I want it I have no idea where I've stored it!
I hate that I forget people's names. We're not talking about people I met a month or even a year ago. I'm talkin' about people I have known since I was in diapers, and, believe me, that was a long time ago!!
Each of us has things about ourselves we wish were different. At least I assume that is true in your life as well. We have to trust that, if we allow him to, God will change the things that need to be changed. The key is to be willing.
We have to also trust that the things he does not change are things he finds perfectly acceptable in his child. Like forgetting?
Do allow God to change what he wants. Don't fret about the things he doesn't want changed.
Hoping I allow God to change what he wants and to accept what he doesn't, Gloria
