A Life of Substance Or A Life of "Fluff"

I have spent the last three hours trying to delete things off my computer. That's right. Three hours! That means I am going to have to take a nap sometime today or I'll meet up with the grumpy bug!!

I signed up for all types of emails and sites that send me info regularly. When I leave for a day or two, I have hundreds of emails when I return. Even on a daily basis, it is difficult to keep up with the bombardment in my mailbox.

I found myself spending so much time on reading, responding, and deleting all the email that I had trouble getting around to doing what really needed to be done . . . like writing. So, I decided to make some changes. Thus the the three hours I just endured. There will lbe a lot less emails in my box and I'll have time to concentrate on the important things.

Life is like that, isn't it? You can get inundated with so much trivial stuff you miss out on the important things. Check out your life. Go over your schedule. How much of what you do is "fluff", things that take so much time that you never get around to things of substance. You know. The really important things like praying, reading the Word so that you can know God better, and using your spiritual gift(s) to minister to the body of Christ.

Trust me. Life is zooming by. The older you get, the faster it zooms. Don't wind up at the end of your life and realize it was simply made up of "fluff". God has given each of us an allotted time. We have the choice of how we use it. Let's choose wisely.
