Today I begin a week of adventure, excitement, challenge and daring. What is it?
Am I going to climb Mt. Whitmore? Run a marathon? Trek across Death Valley?
No I'm going to spend the week caring for three boys aged 5-11. I'm already tired just thinking about it!
They only came yesterday afternoon and already my house looks like they've been here a week. I can only imagine what it will look like come Saturday! But, I have determined housework will not be a priority. OK, it never has been a priority but even less so this week. Just so we have a path to walk through to get to the things we want to do will be fine.
I've planned a movie, library and museum visits and rides on the lawn mower. This is their favorite thing to do. Since we don't have any grass, it's the best use of the thing we can think of.
Spending time with the grand kids always takes planning. Yet, I delight in doing it. I love spending time with them. It is a joy to be with them. Well worth the preparation.
Spending time with God takes planning, too. Delight in preparing for time with Him. So many things would rob you of that.
Set a time you will daily read God's Word and pray. It will be well worth the preparation!

I know what you mean, Gloria. I had my grand-daughter here last week...only one, and a GIRL...and I was exhausted, too! We did many of the same things...a movie, "Up!" the library, etc...but we don't have a riding mower!! But aren't grandchildren one of God's greatest blessings? Who knew they could be such a joy!
Have fun!! Marge
Marge, so glad you got to spend time with your grand-daughter!
Yes, they are a great blessing . . . if we can survive them!
Gloria
P.S. We're going to see "UP", too.
