We're having a progressive dinner at our house on Saturday. You know what that means, don't you? I have to clean my house. Wayne is so excited!
This kind of progressive dinner has you stay in the same house but move from table to table. The tables can't be close so I'll have them in various areas of the house. Of course, there'll be no cleaning a room or two and putting padlocks on the others so no one peeks in and sees what kind of housekeeper I really am!
I know I have to get started. The party is only three days away. Still, I find all kinds of things to do to keep from digging in and doing it. Why? Because I HATE housework. And, I'm also a procrastinator. What a combo!
Are there things you don't like to do and yet you do them? What makes you go ahead and plow through (in the case of my house, plowing through is an apt description) and do those things?
Sometimes following Christ can feel like ploughing. Satan attacks you. Your own flesh tries to steer you away from following God. Others close to you discourage you from following through on living the Christ life.
Following Christ has never been easy. It may get harder.
Situations and people will sometimes make it difficult to "walk the walk." No matter what the obstacles, we need to persist. In doing so, we find that life, even a life of ploughing, is exhilerating and fulfilling.
The Bible says no man having put his hand to the plow and looking back is fit for the kingdom of heaven. So, keep those hands on the plough and those eyes forward. Your redemption draws near!
Looking forward with my hand on the plough, Gloria

I hate to be the one to tell you this, but....Friday to Saturday is NOT three days away! Better pick up the speed and start moving faster!
Need any help?
Okay, I wrote this earlier and didn't notice the error. What would I do without you!!!
Thanks for the offer. If I run into trouble (like passing out from exhaustion), I'll call you.
Are you one of those coming to our house?
Gloria
Yup
Hi Gloria,
I read your note on TWV today, about Churchmouse.
Let me know what develops with them.
Cleaning house is not high on my list either. I would rather play in the garden.
Come on over and say hi, please.
