Fleeing From Snakes and Serpents

I saw a big snake slithering across the road the other day. Snakes are NOT my favorite thing. In fact, I hate snakes. When I have bad dreams, it's usually about snakes. I always say the only good snake is a dead one.

I know. Some snakes are good. So they tell me. Just don't forget how they got to be such slithering, slimy critters (read Genesis).

When I was a young girl a black runner snake chased me. I still don't understand why. It's for sure I wouldn't have gotten close enough to try and harm him. I ran so fast he didn't have a chance of catching me! The experience solidified my hate for snakes.

Sometimes it's good to run. It's smart to run. The Bible says, "But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness." I Tim 6:11

I need to flee from the devil just like I did that snake. Don't forget, he is called a serpent!

Fleeing from the serpent and pursuing God, Gloria
