Did you hate the dark when you were a child? My vivid imagination conjured up all kinds of creatures lurking out in that black soup. I just knew some monster was waiting to grab me, pull me into their lair and eat me for supper!
There are still times my imagination brings those childhood monsters back. It may be when I'm walking out to the barn on a starless night. Sometimes its when I walk into a darkened room of my home. It may be when a vivid dream startles me awake.
I seldom have those feeling when the lights are on. The darkness is engulfed in light. Nothing to fear as long as the lights are on. That's why I so appreciate the invention of the light bulb!
There is another place I can be where there is light. The Bible says, ". . . God is light. In him there is no darkness at all." I John 1:5
That where I want to be! Light all the time. No light bulbs needed here. God himself is the light. Eternal light! Never a need to fear the darkness if we walk in this light. How awesome to be able to walk in the light of God's presence!
Thankful for the light and the LIGHT, Gloria
