My brother posted on my Facebook yesterday. He told me he had lost his job. He's in his 60's so the chances of getting another one doesn't look too promising. He said half the workers in the company (motor homes) had experienced the same thing he did.
Perilous times.
What do you do when you have no job and can't provide for your family? It must be a frightening thing.
There's an old song that George Beverly Shea sang when he was the soloist for Billy Graham. It said, "In times like these, we need a Savior. In times like these, we need and anchor. Be very sure. Be very sure, your anchor holds and grips the solid rock. That rock is Jesus. Yes he's the one. That rock is Jesus, the only one."
In times like these, we who are anchored on that rock can bring comfort and hope to those who are experiencing such turmoil in their lives. We cannot guarantee them their problems will go away but we can let them know there is a rock to cling to during the difficulty.
Perhaps today God will use us to bring hope to someone who needs it. Be ready!
Thankful Jesus is my rock, Gloria
