Aging

What is going on? Two nights in a row I've gone to bed at ten 'clock or later. I DO NOT go to bed late. When the sun goes down my body and brain start to dissolve into nothingness. By eight I can hardly function. Nine. I'm usually in bed snoozing.

So, why this change? Is is age? Stress? Caffeine? Since I didn't have much caffeine yesterday and I haven't been overly stressed, I opt for age.

Aging does all kinds of things to you, most of which I do not look forward to. Arthritis, knee problems, bad eyesight, poor hearing, the list goes on. And let's not forget those dastardly crevices called wrinkles that pock our face as we age.

What are my options? I can't go back and be young again. There are not enough plastic surgeons and doctors in the world to pull that off! Whether it's sleep patterns or body changes, I guess I'll just have to adjust, "roll with the punches," as they say.

One good thing about getting older; when you turn fifty-five, you get discounts at lots of stores and restaurants. Not much compensation for getting older but, hey, something is better than nothing!

Thanking God for even the small perks as I age, Gloria

First, I think we all age at the same time so that we can commiserate with each other!

Second, I truly feel aging occurs so that when the Good Lord calls us home we will be more than ready to go!

Gayle, you are so right! Heaven looks sweeter every day. When I was younger and raising my kids, I doubt I would have thought that!
