Sometimes it's hard to turn your mind off at night, especially if you have lots of things to do the next day or are going through some difficult time.
What do you do when you can't sleep?
You can lie there hashing over your troubles or trying to figure out how you're going to squeeze thirteen of work into a twelve hour hour day. Doing that will definitely not help your trying to sleep!
Do this. Pray. Cliche I know but true.
As you pray, go ahead and tell God how you're feeling. Then change your prayer pattern. Pray for others. Thank God. Praise God. You might even want to sing some songs of praise. If you have a bedfellow, I suggest you only sing the songs inside your head!
You may find prayer to be better than a sleeping pill. I know I do!
