As a child, our daughter had strange sleeping arrangements. Many mornings we woke up to find her bed empty. That was always a little unnerving. The search would begin.
We once found her lying across a dining room chair, head dangling down one side of the chair, legs the other side. Another morning she was huddled in the back of her closet. The biggest challenge was the time she crawled under the bunk beds and slid far against the wall. It was difficult to see her. That one caused us lots of panic! There was always a sigh of relief when we found her.
As parents we want to protect our children from harm. We do everything we can to see that happens.
So does God.
We would probably be amazed at how many times during the day God orchestrates life so that his children are shielded from harm. Yet, how often do we think of that? Let's thank God for the protection he gives us, even when we don't recognize it!
Thanking God for things I don't even see, Gloria
