THE BOOK

How thankful I am the Word became flesh. How thankful I am the Word was written.

There are days when life comes tumbling in on me and I feel I can't bear another day of trouble. It is at these times I turn to the Word of God, the Bible. It amazes me how God comforts me, gives me strength to go on and, helps me rise above my difficulties.

You don't even have to go looking for specific answers, although I have done that. You simply start reading and God reveals himself to you. No wonder it is called the sword of the Spirit. It can slice through any difficulty you are going through and bring peace that cannot be understood. Although I can't understand it, I praise God for it!

Are you going through difficult times? Do you just have an unsettled spirit? Get into God's Word and let it comfort you. Let it lift you out of the doldrums. Let it give you peace in the middle of your storm.

Praising God for leaving us the Bible, Gloria

Praise God for His Living Word! Last night after reading a little Scripture for much needed comfort, I just held my Bible to my chest and fell asleep with it. Peace in the storm.

Sherri, it amazes me at how much comfort comes from reading the Bible. It really shouldn't, I guess, since it is God's very own words!

Praying for you.
