Listening

I have mentioned before that I have become a bird feeder. Let me phrase that a little better. I feed birds. In my back yard. And, I feed rabbits.

The young rabbits ran when I first started going outside with the food. I talked to them so they could learn my voice and come to trust me. After several weeks of doing this they no longer run when I go outside. They have come to accept that I will not harm them. They sit and listen as I talk to them. Trust is being developed.

Our relationship to God is like that. The more we listen to his voice, the more we begin to trust him, the more we realize his goal is do us good, not harm.

God is always talking. We need to be always listening.
