Freedom Is Costly

It's Memorial Day. For most it's just a time to kick back and relax, a day that you don't have to go to work, or a time for the family to get together and barbecue. It's sad we have forgotten how many died so we could have the freedom to do such "ordinary" things.

God has blessed America with a great treasure...freedom. We can pretty much say what we want, do what we want (within reason) and go where we want. God gave us these privileges through men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice, their lives.

There are people all over the world who hunger for the freedoms we have. Yet, we take them for granted.

Whatever your plans today, take time to thank God for allowing you the freedoms you have. Thank him for the men and women who were willing to die so that you could have such freedom. Tell the next generation about those who gave all so they could be free!

Thanking God for freedom, Gloria
